A little more now than before. It was a part of my job, but I was in the protection business by way of assassination. I went after the cult that took out my father when he tried to keep me out of it all as a child. I made more than a few enemies that way.
Because that is what we do. Our lives picked us somehow, and I know that I had no choice. I do what I do because I must. People don't escape this life. I am trying, but it seems near to impossible.
I don't mean it in a blatantly philosophical way. I mean that we both ended up here somehow, for one reason or another. I am here because my father tried to escape the life, and they killed him for it and instead took me for the life.
I don't know your story, but I'm sure you stumbled into it in one way or another and are now bound to it.
I don't want to keep doing this. I want to move on to a life I dreamed of and even started while I was training. If I make it out of here alive... It's part of the reason I like visiting stripper clubs so much.
I'm free of it when someone completes the bounty and I am dead. When they grow tired of chasing me and drop the bounty, which would require me to find some place on this great earth I could hide and not be found.
I have a feeling I could find somewhere. I merely need a few hours without being chased to make plans.
That's impossible to say. There's the entire cult, and any other assassin out there interested in my bounty. I only know that there's nowhere currently safe in the world that I've kept myself insulated in.
